AJ LAW at the Pack4Future FoodFakty Forum and Managerial Workshops – Attorney-at-Law Edyta Oleszczuk-Romańska on the Legal Aspects of Microplastics

Attorney at Law Edyta Oleszczuk-Romańska, legal counsel at AJ LAW Uchańska Diskau Law Firm, participated in this year’s edition of the Pack4Future FoodFakty Forum and Management Workshops, held on March 11–12, 2026, in Łódź. The event brought together experts from the food and packaging industries, as well as representatives from academia, public administration, and business, to discuss challenges related to food safety and the future of packaging amid dynamic regulatory changes in the European Union.

The forum focused particularly on the quality and safety of food packaging and the impact of upcoming regulations, such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system, on the functioning of the industry. The program included expert sessions, workshops, and discussion panels attended by over 50 specialists representing industrial sectors, industry organizations, research institutes, and public administration.

During the event, Attorney Edyta Oleszczuk-Romańska delivered a presentation on microplastics in the context of food safety and packaging. In her talk, she addressed current regulatory challenges, forthcoming changes in European legislation on microplastics, and their implications for food producers and the packaging industry.

Participation in the Pack4Future FoodFakty Forum and Management Workshops provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge among experts from various economic sectors and to discuss the future of sustainable and safe packaging. The event created a platform for dialogue between business, science, and regulators, which is essential in light of rapidly evolving legislation and growing consumer expectations regarding product safety and environmental responsibility.
