A year ago, AJ LAW was founded – a law firm born out of the need to create a place where the law genuinely supports business and our clients’ everyday decisions. From the very beginning, we have been guided by the idea of combining high-quality legal services with a partnership-based approach to cooperation. We believe that the law should not be a barrier but a tool that enables growth, protects interests, and supports the strategic goals of both businesses and individuals.
On a daily basis, we support clients operating in the Life Science and Healthcare industries, such as pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, functional food, cosmetics, biotechnology, and medical technologies. We have a deep understanding of the specific nature of these sectors – their dynamic regulatory environment, high quality standards, and the need for quick responses to legal and business changes. Thanks to this, we can offer our clients not only legal support but also strategic advisory services that take into account the market and operational context.
We also support entrepreneurs from other industries, providing comprehensive solutions in the fields of intellectual property (IP) law, protection of personal rights, advertising and marketing law, as well as consumer and e-commerce law. We help build and protect brands, safeguard know-how, create effective and compliant advertising campaigns, and respond to image or reputation infringements.
Our services include comprehensive corporate support, including company formation and restructuring, ongoing corporate advisory, preparation of corporate documentation, and assistance in shareholder relations. We specialize in drafting and negotiating contracts—both commercial and investment—ensuring that they are clear, secure, and tailored to the business realities of our clients.
A very important pillar of our work is the area of protection of personal rights and combating unfair.
We represent clients before common and administrative courts, as well as supervisory authorities such as the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS), the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products (URPL), and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), ensuring effective protection of their interests and professional handling of disputes. We believe that legal education is just as important as advisory services, which is why we offer training sessions, workshops, and mediations that help our clients better understand the legal environment, build team competencies, and resolve conflicts constructively.
Our goal was to create a space where expert legal knowledge meets a practical understanding of business realities. From the very beginning, we have aimed not only to provide legal services but also to share knowledge — hence the idea for the Newsroom – AJ Law – kancelaria prawna, where we regularly publish practical content about law and business. It’s a place where we explain complex legal regulations, comment on legislative changes, and share our experience in an accessible and useful way. The same mission is reflected in our social media channels — Instagram and AJ LAW Partners | LinkedIn
AJ LAW is not just a law firm — it’s a community of experts who believe that transparent communication and legal education are key to building trust and long-term relationships with clients. Over the past year, we have proudly supported our partners through numerous challenges, treating each project as an opportunity for mutual growth.
The past year was full of activities not only on the client front but also in industry events, which for us are not only opportunities to share knowledge but also to build relationships and exchange experiences. We were present and actively participated in a number of conferences, trade fairs, and expert meetings, both as speakers and as content partners.
Among the most important events we participated in were:
- PCI DAYS 2025 – our partner, Dr. Joanna Uchańska, led specialized workshops dedicated to the pharmaceutical and food industries, focusing on regulatory aspects and practical legal challenges.
- Vitafoods Europe 2025 – one of the key events for the nutraceutical sector, held in Barcelona. AJ LAW represented the Polish legal perspective among an international group of experts.
- PACK4Future 2025 – a conference dedicated to the quality and safety of food and dietary supplement packaging, in the context of upcoming legislative changes (PPWR and ROP). Our presence was not only substantive – we prepared an extensive legal commentary, which can be read on our blog: AJ LAW at PACK4Future – Food and Dietary Supplement Packaging Quality and Safety in Response to the PPWR and ROP Packaging Revolution. Dr. Joanna Uchańska delivered a lecture titled “Packaging in the Dietary Supplements and FSMP Market – A Managerial Perspective”, while Attorney Aleksandra Diskau presented “Dietary Supplements and FSMP Packaging – Labelling, Claims, and Beyond – Law, Practice, Challenges”. Dr. Joanna Uchańska also led two thematic sessions specifically for the dietary supplements industry (“Packaging for Dietary Supplements”), which attracted significant attention from the participants.
- Life Science Open Space 2025 in Kraków – an event bringing together the scientific and business communities, where AJ LAW participated as a partner and active participant, supporting the development of innovations in the life sciences sector.
- Parliamentary Committee Meetings on Health-Promoting Food and Nutrition (March and September 2025) – Attorney Joanna Uchańska actively participated in the debate on nutritional education as a foundation for public health. Her contributions highlighted the importance of legal regulations that support informed consumer choices and the responsibility of the food industry. Żywności Prozdrowotnej i Żywienia – 11 września 2025 r. – AJ Law – kancelaria prawna
This is just a part of our activities – there were many, many more! We regularly share behind-the-scenes insights into our work, event highlights, and practical tips on our social media profiles. We invite you to follow us to stay up to date with what’s happening at AJ LAW and in the world of business law.
Thanks to these presentations and meetings, we were able to broaden our horizons, establish valuable contacts, and stay closer to the latest trends in law and the industries we serve.
It’s also worth noting that our work is not just about the office – it’s also about travel, meetings, court hearings, and direct client interaction. Although our headquarters are in Kraków, the nature of our work keeps us constantly on the move. We regularly travel for court hearings, negotiations, consultations, and business meetings – both for individual cases and corporate projects.
Our clients operate all over Poland, so it’s fair to say that we are wherever they need us. We serve companies and entrepreneurs in cities such as Łódź, Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Kraków, and many others across the country. For us, geography is not a limitation – what matters are the relationship, trust, and effectiveness of our work.
Mobility is part of our daily routine, and our flexible approach to collaboration allows us to stay close to our clients – both physically and substantively. This enables us to better understand the local context, industry specifics, and the real needs of our business partners. Often, it is precisely these face-to-face meetings that make it possible to develop the best legal solutions, tailored to each specific situation.
However, we never forget about balance – vacations and moments of rest are treated as an important element of growth and regeneration. At AJ LAW, we believe that rest is not a luxury but a necessity – the foundation for effective, creative, and responsible work. We ensure that our team has the space to take a breath, recharge, and nurture passions outside of their professional routines. It is precisely thanks to this balance that we can work with full commitment, a fresh perspective, and the energy to take on new challenges.
Looking ahead, we aim to continue developing AJ LAW – both in terms of services and our team. Our team of collaborators is continuously growing. We plan to expand our expertise into new areas of law, responding to the evolving needs of the market and our clients. We want to strengthen our team with more experts who share our values and approach to work – openness, integrity, commitment, and boldness in thinking.
We are constantly working to create more and more useful educational and informational materials – both for our clients and for a wider audience interested in the practical aspects of law. Our Newsroom and blog serve as spaces where we share knowledge, comment on legislative changes, and demonstrate how the law can support everyday business decisions.
Our goal remains for AJ LAW to be not just a law firm for our clients, but above all a partner – one that provides confidence that the law can be used as a tool for growth, protection, and building a competitive advantage. We aim to stay close to our clients, understand their needs, and work together with them to create solutions that truly work.
Meanwhile, we celebrate our first year of operation as AJ LAW Uchańska Diskau Kancelaria Radców Prawnych sp. p.
