Position
Partner at AJ LAW Law Firm, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Legal Advisor, Court Mediator at the District Courts in Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Poznań, Lublin, and Gdańsk.
Education
Full-time master’s studies completed at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University. Master’s thesis written at the Department of Intellectual Property Law on the topic: “Biodiversity Protection and Patent Protection: Selected Issues.” PhD with a specialization in intellectual property, also at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University. The title of the doctoral dissertation: “Biotechnological Invention Patent and Its Quality in a Comparative Legal Analysis.” Additionally, postgraduate studies in Competition Law at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), Institute of Legal Sciences, and the WIPO Summer School on Intellectual Property at the University of Dubrovnik.
Main specialization
Intellectual property, life sciences law, with regulations primarily in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical, food, and beauty industries. Additionally, the specialization includes corporate social responsibility. Advises individual clients and business entities on personal rights, competition law, and human rights.
Where I gained experience and where else you can find me?
For many years at leading Polish law firms in Kraków and Warsaw. Leader of the Life Science and Healthcare Department.
Associated for years with the National Council of Dietary Supplements, currently serving her second term on the board—first as a member, and now as vice president.
Lecturer at Jagiellonian University in Postgraduate Studies of Criminal Fiscal and Economic Law, Postgraduate Studies of International Trade and Transnational Crime (for judges and prosecutors), and Postgraduate Studies of Medical Law. Specializations include intellectual property, advertising law in the medical and pharmaceutical markets, medical law, pharmaceutical law, food law, and cosmetics law.
Speaker at numerous industry and academic conferences both in Poland and abroad, including France, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Lithuania, as well as non-European countries such as India and Thailand. Co-executor of an international project focused on assessing patentability using innovative IT tools.
Several years ago, legal advisor in the “Good Start Within Reach 2” Project at the Refugee and Repatriate Assistance Center of the Polish Humanitarian Action, and member of the Human Rights Section of the University Legal Clinic at Jagiellonian University.
After hours (or during them)?
I come from Silesia, and that shapes my outlook on life and the world. Values such as family and respect for every person and being are important to me, as well as reliability, diligence, trustworthiness, and hard work.
I am passionate about cooking, baking, and reading, reading, reading. When I’m not reading, I listen to audiobooks. I’m always up for small or big trips, preferably by train or bike.
